It was all over again today for the Duchess of Cambridge, who opted for a cream, ruffle-fronted collarless jacket with matching skirt and a hat by Jane Taylor for the Christening of HRH Prince George Alexander Louis today - her first formal, non-red carpet, non-volleyball-playing outing since his birth three months ago.
She arrived at St James' Palace with her husband Prince William, who carried a seriously cute George in his new replica Royal Christening gown into the building at about 3pm. The street was lined with well-wishers as they arrived.
Another attendee of sartorial note was The Queen, resplendent in a beautiful cornflower blue cashmere coat by Stewart Parvin.
Only 22 guests were invited to today's ceremony, which marks many breaks with tradition - including the appointment of close friends and family as the little prince's seven godparents, as opposed to foreign dignitaries.
Although siblings Pippa (who also wore cream, a dress by Suzannah), and Harry weren't invited to be godparents, they each read a lesson during the service: Luke Ch.18 v15-17 and John Ch.15 v1-5 respectively.
Plus, there was a slice of Christening cake, taken from a tier of Kate and Wills' wedding cake, to take the edge off after all the excitement.
