It’s always a thrill to see Tilda Swinton at the Pringle show. The label’s ambassador has that otherworldly quality that supersedes every other celebrity in attendance. Wearing Pringle, of course, she looks regal and composed – exactly the feel of the autumn winter collection to come.
Digging in to Pringle’s archive, designer Clare Waight Keller revisited the label’s deep heritage and came up smelling of heather. Scottish autumnal hues of deep reds, greys and browns, with hand knitted fairisle, fringed jacquard and tweed. Poncho blankets, leather lattice tank tops and Sherlock Holmes trench coats provided beautifully crafted clothes. Special mention should go to the superbly flattering trousers.
