It’s been a great couple of weeks for Richard Nicoll and, to top it off, the London designer has just been named new Creative Director of Jack Wills.

The news comes following his ‘joyful, elegant and ultra feminine’ a/w 2014 collection at London Fashion Week this month, editor Lorraine’s favourite collection of his to date.

Nicoll is famed for his androgynous tailoring and has dressed celebrities including Kylie Minogue, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Emma Stone and Keira Knightley.

The multi-award winning designer said of his new collaboration with the preppy brand: ‘I’m excited to be working with Jack Wills, this is an opportunity to take a successful British design aesthetic and drive forward the product and vision.’

Wendy Becker, CEO of Jack Wills said, ‘His [Nicoll’s] collections have global appeal, but he is a British designer at heart and will lead the creative direction of our brand into its next important phase.

‘His aesthetic and talent in designing for both men and women will be a great match for our future vision for Jack Wills and reinforces our commitment to having quality and design at our heart.’

Nicoll’s newest role will be part-time, allowing him to continue work on his eponymous line.

And having just debuted the most delectable gold trainers in his latest collection, we’re wondering whether we could see something similar in a Jack Wills store soon…
