Rick Owens has done it again.

For his Paris Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2016 runway show, the designer has lived up to his reputation for boundary-pushing designs, sending his models down the catwalk in clouds of very fine, synthetic hair.

Last season, for his Spring/Summer collection, Owens made headlines all around the world for centring his show on models in human backpacks.

His designs weren't merely made up of chiffons and Grecian sandals, but other human beings tied to the front and back of the walking models.

This season, the thrust of his designs is not dissimilar to last season's, minus the human backpacks, with signature luxe knits and drapery, but his daring addition for February/March is a selection of interesting headpieces.

Responses to Rick Owens' 'human hairballs' has been relatively mixed, with Fashionista calling it 'something that my cat might cough up (in a good way),' and others claiming that perhaps it was nice to see a little less shock value this time.

We're certainly impresses that Rick's models managed to make it down the catwalk and back again without missing a step.
