Saint Laurent’s commitment to androgyny is stepping into new territory – quite literally.
Hedi Slimane set out his boy-girl stall explicitly when he cast Saskia de Brauw in his men’s campaign and sent female models down the catwalk at his men’s autumn/winter 2013 show – and that’s before we even think about the clothes. Now products are hitting the shelves and he has no intention of leaving his female fans hanging, with selected men’s shoe designs also retailing in women’s sizes.
Plus, this being Saint Laurent, we’re not talking any crusty old boys’ kicks. From sleek hi-tops and high-shine loafers to a pair Chelsea boots we already can’t stop thinking about, there’s a whole lot to love. And selected styles are in store now.
Our Fashion Week wardrobe officially just got exciting.
