The former 007 is still one of the best-known Scotsmen in the world, which must be why he’s hosting ‘The Glenlivet Dressed to Kilt’ annual charity fashion gala in New York next month.
Sir Sean and Lady Connery will serve as honorary chairs of the event, also set to feature designs from Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, House of Holland and eco-brand Prophetik.
‘Scotland’ might seem a natural theme, but the largest Scottish fashion charity event ever held outside of Scotland has instead adopted ‘Country Chic’ as its focus, drawing inspiration from country music’s Scottish roots.
The event, sponsored by Friends of Scotland, will benefit charities that work with injured veterans—which makes it worth pulling on some cowboy boots with your kilt.
