‘We’ve had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures,’ the Millers said in a statement. ‘We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.’

Brand owners Pepe Group supplied no reason for the Miller sisters’ departure, but said the co-creative directors are leaving the brand on good terms.

‘We’ve had a great partnership with the Miller sisters,’ Twenty8Twelve Managing Director Nish Soneji said in a statement released by Pepe Group. ‘Sienna and Savannah will forever be a part of Twenty8Twelve’s history and we wish them all the best.’

Soneji said he was ‘confident’ that the Millers’ exit wouldn’t spook stockists. ‘We never intended to be a celebrity brand and we remain confident of our DNA,’ he told Drapers. ‘I’m confident that retailers will see the collections and still be excited by them.’

Changes at the top will lead to a name change, however. Twenty8Twelve by S.Miller will become Twenty8Twelve London during London Fashion Week in February, with a new website supporting the rebranding.

Vanessa James and Elsa Elphick, two original members of the Twenty8Twelve design team, will steer the design direction.

Representatives for the Millers declined to comment on Wednesday morning.
