A Talent Launch Pad winner’s star continues to rise...
Just call her Sophie ‘Unstoppable’ Hulme. Since earning acclaim as one of the winners of the second BFC/ELLE Talent Launch Pad initiative , the young designer has risen from strength to strength. Her armour-plated handbags have sold out five times in Selfridges, moving one newspaper fashion editor to question , ‘Mulberry who?’
Now an e-commerce powerhouse has added Hulme’s brand to its spring offering. My-Wardrobe decided to order several of Hulme’s handbag and accessories styles after ELLE introduced the e-tailer's buying team to the designer at a London Fashion Week event .
‘Sophie has a clearly distinguished signature style, which is all about understated elegance,’ Luisa de Paula, My-Wardrobe’s Buying and Merchandising Director, told us. ‘It’s classic, understated luxury at an accessible price point, which is already becoming a must-have for the season.’
Look for designs including Hulme’s gold-plated leather tote bag, buckle tote and gold-stamped belt on My-Wardrobe from February 2012.
