The Telegraph reports that the British designer, who already produces a range of delicate, top-end smalls, has devised this latest addition aimed at women shopping for reliable upholstery that will go under any and every outfit rather than saved for special occasions. The unique selling point of the underwear, which will be named simply; ‘Stella’ - is its lightweight, barely-there qualities, or in the words of the brand, offering a ‘nearly nude wearing experience’
The still-very-pretty sets will come in three sub categories; Stella Smooth, Stella Lace and Stella Mesh – with the not too bank-breaking price points of £40 to £45 for bras and £19 to £22 for briefs. It’ll all be available in August from stellamccartney.com as well as a few other stockists. We predict she’ll corner this market as quickly as Jessica Ennis completing the hurdles in the events of the coming weeks!
