Oh, how we used to love The Clothes Show. In the pre-internet world of the 1980s it was responsible for turning vast swathes of the British population onto the world of fashion. With the incredible Caryn Franklyn, Jeff Banks and Selina Scott at the helm, it covered everything from interviewing backstage at London Fashion Week to visiting the Barbour factory.

The original show ran from 1986 to 2000 on the BBC, and it was then revived on UKTVStyle six years later, presented by Louise Rednapp and Caryn Frankln. Now it’s set for another revamp, and this time it won’t be gracing our TVs at all – it will run on YouTube instead.

It will air three times a week to coincide with this year’s Clothes Show Live, which runs 6-10 December (and for which tickets go on sale 19 June). Sadly, none of the original line-up of presenters will be joining it, but continuing in the vein of the Clothes Show vibe, it promises to offer up behind-the-scenes access, red carpet how-tos and style advice.

And, just for those of you who watched it growing up, here’s a trip down memory lane courtesy of the Pet Shop Boys-themed opening credits...
