Iconic department store Selfridges has revealed that its sales of designer bags have increased by a massive 60% over the past year. And it will come as no surprise to learn that the current best seller is the much-coveted Mulberry Alexa bag . The Alexa Chung -inspired satchel is the hit of the season, and there are waiting lists as long as your arm for the hot pink, leopard and electric blue numbers. The British brand has apparently doubled its sales since the bags launch - nice work.
The Alexa isn't the only arm candy riding high right now though. Also being snapped up thick and fast are the Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Hillier' bag in bright purple and the electric blue, fuschia and red City bag by Balenciaga . Get them before they go.
