Yep that's right - black is so last season. It's time for a new shade of darkness to take charge in the form of 'Viperblack' a material which promises to be 40% darker than the black we've come to know and love.

Created by German deisgner Phoebe Heess, Viperblack is inspired by the skin of the Gaboon viper and works by trapping light rather than reflecting it to create a shade of 'super black'.

Drawing from her sportswear roots (Phoebe currently designs for Adidas), the first piece in the Viperblack collection is the ultimate black t-shirt featuring mesh inserts on the sleeves and back. 'We believe in exceptionally well-designed simplicity' she says.

Viperblack t-shirts are currently only available via Phoebe's kickstarter campaign. But for all you colourphobes this is another step closer to the dark side.
