Theyskens (almost) Spills on Kate Designer

Olivier Theyskens knows who is designing Kate Middleton’s dress and can’t believe you don’t either...

The Theory designer almost let the cat out of the bag when asked by US site Styleite who the nimbled fingered seamperson was. The transcript reads as follows;

Styleite: “Who do you want to design Kate’s wedding dress?”

He started to say something and then paused.

Olivier: “I — nobody knows?”

Styleite: “Nobody knows!”

Olivier: “Oh my god, I know who does it.”

Styleite: “Olivier! Please tell us!”

Olivier: “I will never say! I was thinking everybody knew. I was going to say, like, ‘I can’t wait to see the dress _____ is making!’”

Styleite: “Is it Sophie Cranston?”

Olivier: “Who?”

Styleite: “Sophie Cranston?”

Olivier: “Who? I don’t know…”

Cue desperate research in to who Theyskens is friends with and has encountered during his Nina Ricci/Rochas/Theory career. It’s proved inconclusive - everyone knows everyone.
