Tom Ford has signed a 10-year lease to join Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Fendi on London’s Sloane Street with his first stand alone UK shop.

Ford will take over the 8,000 square-foot property at 201-206 Sloane Street (the Harvey Nicks end), and pay £1.3 million/year in rent to the Cadogan estate, says yesterday’s Sunday Times.

The shop will house the Texan designer’s full collection, including his hugely popular menswear collection – which is currently only available at Selfridges.

The ex-Gucci and YSL designer opened a shop within the confines of Harrods last year, and has concessions inside Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, but this will be his first UK flagship store – something that will please his celebrity fans – Beyoncé, Gwyneth and Mrs Beckham, we’re talking to you.
