Fashion Week is not over for Victoria Beckham yet.

Following the success of her and shows at New York Fashion Week, our March cover star is jetting into London to join Donatella Versace and Diane von Furstenberg in awarding the prestigious International Woolmark Prize at the ME Hotel tomorrow evening.

The award celebrates designers working with Merino wool and, as keen fashion fans will know, its winning alumni include Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent. So not an altogether insignificant club for an up-and-coming designer to join.

In the running this year are Sophie Theallet from the US, Christian Wijnants from Belgium (for Europe), Ban Xiao Xiu from China, Dion Lee from Australia, DRESSEDUNDRESSED from Japan and Pankaj and Nidhi from India.

Judge Victoria is out to be impressed. ‘The versatility of wool, together with all its familiar and fashion connotations, make it one of the most special of all materials,’ she explains.

It’s a particularly pertinent time for her to get involved, with knitwear making an impressive addition to her autumn/winter 2013 collection.

ELLE UK will be reporting live from the ceremony – stay tuned for more...
