Victoria Beckham has become the latest designer to harness the power of digital.

The savvy designer has signed a partnership with Skype, which promises to of the past five years and allow fans and devotees to interact with the brand.

While the finer details are yet to be released, it’s an exciting moment for the former ELLE cover girl, whose business has never been in a stronger place, and marks Skype’s first foray into the world of high fashion.

Not that the service is anything new for Victoria; indeed, it’s been a crucial part of building her brand since the very beginning.

In the autumn/winter 2011 edition of ELLE Collections she told us: ‘When I'm here in London, which is for about a week every month it's really, really full-on. Then, when I'm back in the US, I use Skype to talk with my team – usually wearing either a dressing gown or a bikini.’
