Exciting news: has just announced that it is set to launch a menswear collection.

The debut offering will be an a/w 2014 collection – no word on whether it will be unveiled at London Fashion Week alongside the women’s collection – and will be designed under Whistles’ design director, Nick Passmore.

‘Menswear is something that we have been planning to do since we started in 2008,’says Whistles CEO, Jane Shepherdson. ‘We recognise that, as with womenswear there is considerable expansion in the contemporary middle market, this is an ideal time to capitalise on this opportunity and bring the Whistles aesthetic to menswear.’

It’s the latest step in the brand’s evolution, following the launch of its more luxury line, a massive international expansion and two seasons showing at London Fashion Week. And, while it’s obviously good news for the men in our lives, we’re pretty sure we’ll be wanting to wear some of the pieces ourselves.
