The British Fashion Awards are the Oscar's of the UK fashion calendar, and we're already counting down the weeks until this year's event in December. And now we know who we'll be cheering on - the nominations have just been revealed.
The first thing that caught our eye is that Victoria Beckham has been nominated for Designer Brand of the Year, alongside Burberry , Pringle of Scotland and Mulberry . It's the first British Fashion Award that she's been nominated for and definitive proof that she's taken seriously within the industry.
Also nominated for the first time is Phoebe Philo , arguably the fashion crowd's most loved designer right now. She's up for the much coveted Designer of the Year alongside Christopher Kane and Erdem .
On the new names front, Mary Katrantzou , Meadham Kirchhoff and Michael Van Der Ham and all fighting for the Emerging Talent award for ready-to-wear, while Jessica McCormack, Charlotte Olympia and Husam el Odeh are nominated in the accessories category.
The Model of the Year category has this year added a man to its list of nominees - David Gandy will be battling it out with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lara Stone.
And the Accessories Designer of the Year award will be given to either Nicholas Kirkwood , Emma Hill at Mulberry or Camilla Skovgaard .
The awards aren't just for designers though. Rankin , Nicola Formichetti and Nick Knight have all been nominated for the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, there's an Outstanding Achievement in Fashion award which has no nominees - the recipient will be announced on the night. And, once again, there's the British Style award, won last year by Kate Moss , which British fashion fans will be able to vote for in the coming months.
