The BFA's are the Oscars of the UK fashion scene and, as well as a good excuse for everyone to indulge in a spot of competitive dressing, it's a chance for the great and the good of the industry to be recognised.
This year's awards ceremony was held at the newly refurbished Savoy hotel and was hosted by Claudia Winkleman. Claudia Schiffer, Yasmin le Bon, Bianca Jagger and more were on hand to present awards to the lucky winners - so who was celebrating?
The most coveted award of the night, Designer of the Year, was won by Phoebe Philo for her work at Celine. She fought off competition from Christopher Kane and Erdem. Nicholas Kirkwood was crowned Accessories Designer of the Year, and Patrick Grant for E. Tautz won Menswear Designer of the Year.
An emotional Daphne Guinness presented the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator to Nicola Formichetti, stylist to Lady Gaga and newly appointed creative director of Thierry Mugler. An equally emotional Sarah Burton collected the Outstanding Achievement in fashion design award on behalf of the late Lee McQueen. And an even more tearful Naomi Campbell was presented the Special Recognition Award by stylist Edward Enninful.
The much-watched Emerging Designer award was won by Meadham Kirchhoff for ready-to-wear and Husam el Odeh for accessories.
The big brands didn't miss out - Burberry was given the award for Digital Innovation while Mulberry won Designer Brand of the Year.
Lara Stone accepted the Model of the Year award, fighting off competition from David Gandy and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
And Alexa Chung confirmed her status as a style icon by winning the British Style Award, which was voted for by the public.
