Will the real Kate Moss please stand up?

One of the Twitter accounts purporting to belong to Kate Moss boasts more than 60,000 followers.

But the model has taken to a new rumour-clarification site to say that she has never tweeted, nor established a Facebook profile.

Don't try connecting to me on Facebook or follow tweets from Kate Moss, the real Kate Moss doesn't use these social networking sites. I correct all of the imposter profiles pretending to be me and the xx twits tweeting under my name, Moss wrote on ICorrect.

The new website, established by entrepreneur Sir David Tang, says it offers high-profile individuals a forum through which to refute or respond to any false statements circulated in the media.

Sienna Miller and Dasha Zhukova also used ICorrect to declare their Twitter-abstinent status. Other familiar names appearing on the site are Jemima Khan (who does tweet), Kevin Spacey and Tommy Hilfiger.

Twitter, for all its virtues, is a ripe ground for impersonation. But is it worth ICorrect's $1000 annual subscription fee to denounce imitators? Were happy to do our part to separate the real from the fake for free, right here.
