Move over Kim Kardashian and your ‘Louboutin cupboard’ – we are no longer impressed. There’s a new big daddy on the shoe scene.

The Level Shoe District store in Dubai (where else?) will cater for ‘people who are passionate about shoes, who are addicted to shoes, who are obsessed with shoes,’ according to a spokesperson for the company.

The shop, which opens its doors today, has more than 96,000 square feet of space and will stock up to 15,000 different styles at any one time. It is double the size of the world’s largest shoe floors, including Selfridges in London and Macy’s in New York.

It’s not just about quantity – the brands on sale there include and and their buying power is such that they will have the four to six weeks before anywhere else in the world.
