is known for his ability to nip, tuck, dart and flare to perfectly flatter the female form. Could he do the same for the face with his new range of eyewear?

The red carpet king has just confirmed a collaboration with cult New York eyewear label Illesteva, for which he has designed a range of two frames in varying colours. A pair of cat-eye glasses and a pair of oval frames will come in yellow, clear and tortoise, green, brown and a leopard print.

Posen – who launched his label in 2001- is ever on the lookout for new ways to expand his brand. “As we develop the Zac Posen brand, sunglasses allow me to maintain an aspect of flare and attitude for clothing that transitions into day,” he told WWD.

Illesteva has garnered a devoted following in New York and more recently in the UK, for its retro-style frames that are designed in New York and crafted in Italy. The sunglasses will be available from next month and will retail at $300 (£189).
