Who knew Olivier Rousteing, he of the exquisitely pearl-encrusted Balmain gowns, was into football?
In a surprise announcement on Instagram today, Balmain's creative director revealed he has collaborated with NikeLab on the brand's second Summer of Sport collaboration. Appropriately called 'Football Nouveau,' the collection features crop tops, track suits, trainers and, surprise, a body-con dress that blend the technical innovation of Nike sportswear with Rousteing's trademark slick and glossy flair. Most appealingly, the clothes employ slim silhouettes and glimpses of gold (well, it is the colour of champions.)
Even if they wouldn't be worn out on the field, we're already envisaging the collection in the club.
