*Update*

It’s on! Yes, Kanye is back at NYFW for real, showing his SS16 Kanye West X Adidas Originals Collection at noon on Wednesday. But true to form, the news has completely split opinion amongst the fashion community, leaving a few people outraged, and justly so.

The last minute ‘Kanye Show’ NYFW schedule addition has left fellow street wear designer Anne Bowen with no choice but to change the date of her own show to stop it from clashing.

'It's like we are David and he is Goliath,' the designer explained to Women's Wear Daily, adding: 'We have been prepping for a year for this at considerable financial, labor, and commitment-cost to our company.'

'Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this,' Anne added, before revealing that they are now having to reinvite press last minute via email and are 'scrambling around like crazy' to make the show a reality.

'We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this', she continued. 'Our show date has been scheduled for months and has been on the Fashion Calendar for weeks.

'We went through all the proper channels to make this a reality.'

After his much-buzzed-about debut last season, Kanye West is reportedly making a return to New York Fashion Week. Page Six reports that Yeezy is planning to present a second collection for Adidas on Wednesday, September 16.

If the rumour is true, this could mean a front row to end all front rows (last season Beyoncé, Jay Z, Rihanna, Alexander Wang, Diddy and the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan—including a wailing North West—turned out), more clothing for the apocalypse, and hopefully another campaign speech.

Reps for West and Adidas have not confirmed reports of show. But our fingers are crossed.
