Thanks to the likes of Emporio Armani, Richard Nicoll and Chloe this season's heel is transparently obvious.

I have quite a vast heel collection made up of everything from pointed pumps and Mary-Jane’s, to platform sandals and not-so-sensible wedges. That being said, the majority are uniform black and an uninspiring variety of leather or suede.
It may be boring, but it's practical in that it's a colour and texture you can play any way and always looks chic. Introducing neon and perspex into my wardrobe was a worrying prospect but these work whether your look is electric, urban or pretty.

(Uniqlo sweater, Cos shirt, Topshop jeans, Christian Louboutin heels, Michael Kors watch)
I opted to team my Christian Louboutin pair with a cropped jean, classic white shirt and cashmere sweater to see me through office to evening with ease.

Verdict? They're a clear winner.
