Stella’s world just got even better. Not content with dominating the Olympic field with her dashing Team GB designs, the designer has just opened up her own sports grounds - a dedicated Adidas by Stella McCartney store in the heart of Brompton Cross.
A veritable temple to elite athleticism, the store has sections for running, yoga, swimming and even our favourite sport, bench-warming. Yep, the non-sportsmanlike of us can be appeased by the new Gold collection, a capsule line of Adidas classics from the last decade which have been updated in time for the Olympics, with gold studding detail, London 2012 graphics and sophisticated sporty silhouettes.
McCartney herself was involved in the design of the store from conception to polished-plaster completion, and described the store as the icing on the cake of her World of Stella empire. And it’s the icing on our cake too – sportswear so lovely it makes us actually want to go to the gym? We give it the gold star.
