There's been a quiet revolution in accessories over the past few seasons.

While many designer houses have been establishing new all-singing, all-dancing pieces that can be recognised at 100 paces (Gucci's mule loafers anyone?), a few new labels have been popping up that offer something a bit more anonymous.

Led by brands like Mansur Gavriel and PB 0110, understated and affordable bags have been storming the market.

One new discovery being toted by the queen of easy elegance is the structured bucket bag by fledgling Los Angeles-based brand Staud.

Considering the founding partners' (both in business and in life) fashion CVs, we're not surprised we love the brand as much as we do!

Headed up by Sarah Staudinger, ex-fashion director of Reformation, the hip eco-brand that clothes the cool crowd all summer long, the collections are made up of reworked wardrobe classics and beautifully-crafted accessories.

Investment pieces at achievable prices - what's not to love?

The piece we are particularly lusting after is the structured mini bucket 'Bissett' bag, recently spotted on the arm of ELLE cover girl Alexa Chung.

Other Staud fans include Emily Ratajkowski and Leandra Medine.

Starting at £250, the Bissett bag is suprisingly affordable for such a covertable style, but beware of shipping and customs costs as the brand is currently only stocked on their US website.
