Military was a big look on the catwalks for A/W09 – and no surprise – year in, year out it's one of winter’s favourite trends as it gives us chic, tailored layers with a cool, vintage edge. Luella, Philip Lim and Balmain all showed great military inspired pieces featuring gold detailing, brass buttons, ornate trims and even a few jewels thrown in for good measure.
