1) The backdrop
A film of rolling sand dunes in the blazing heat played as a backdrop to the show.
2) The palette
It was Saharan desert meets Morocco: sand, tobacco, paprika, cinnamon, saffron and all shades of sunset.
3) The slip dress
It's THE dress of the season, seen everywhere in New York and London. Ferretti’s were stitched from airlight chiffon and whisker-fine lace.
4) The shoes
Models wore black macramé sandals or gladiators.
5) The twist
Blocks of richly coloured suede were patchworked into neat shift dresses or gilets, with metal ring detailing – the effect gave a tribal twist to Ferretti’s ethereal collection.
