While the rest of the world embraces #FreeTheNipple, it appears French fashion house Saint Laurent wants to make the case for glittery nipples instead.
During their show at New York Fashion Week, model Binx Walton walked the runway in a strapless, leather wrap dress, folded down on the side so that her left breast was exposed. Rather than let her nipple out to breathe, however, designer Anthony Vaccarello instead opted to apply a sparkly, heart-shaped pasty over it — because why the hell not?
Besides the obvious, the look stood out during the show because quite a few of the other models had also worn garments that left their nipples on full display — but none of them had the honor of rocking the glitter nipple. Clearly, Binx was the chosen one, and she embraced the role completely.
While it's unclear what inspired the sole glitter nipple at the Saint Laurent show, I'm going to go ahead and agree with Fashionista that it's probably just an homage to the most famous glitter nipple of them all.
