Over the next few weeks, we should (hopefully) be leaving behind the Arctic temperatures of winter and moving firmly into the lighter and brighter days of spring. Remember when you could wear less than four layers on your morning commute and didn't spend your evenings huddled beneath a blanket? Yes, us too.
One of the trends we're most excited to try is lingerie – and not just the kind you pull out on date night. From lace camisoles worn beneath trenches and corsets paired with oversized shirts, there's a host of new styles to try, in and outside of the bedroom.
Read on to discover our favourite underwear trends you can actually wear in public...
1. Sports-inspired bras
The '90s sports-inspired bra is enjoying a huge comeback, both as a super-comfy underwear option and a verified daywear staple. Take your inspiration from the stars of street style and team an athletic-style bra with a sharp suit. Layer beneath a semi-sheer tee if you don't fancy baring your midriff. A matching pair of suspender briefs will make a satisfying accompaniment, even if no one else can see them.

2. Pastels
There's something about a sugary pastel shade that makes us feel a whole lot cheerier, so we couldn't be happier to see it emerge as one of 2018's hottest trends. The coolest way to wear it? Try a bustier bra. This Essie style comes in a pale shade of lilac, making an ultra-pretty yet sexy addition to your spring wardrobe.

3. Corsets
The corset has come a long way since its creation in the 16th Century. Now worn by everyone from fashion editors and celebrities alike (the Hadids and Jenners are big fans), it's safe to say that this once restrictive undergarment has been liberated from its lingerie connotations. Take your cue from the It girls and wear a half-corset to add structure to a relaxed cotton shirt.

4. Kimonos
Fashion's love affair with the kimono began last season and it's set to be just as popular this season. An ultra-elegant take on pyjama dressing, this Japanese-inspired coverup makes a beautiful addition to jeans and is surprisingly easy to wear. The main rule of thumb is to keep the rest of your look simple, allowing the kimono's statement appeal to take centre stage.
