The 90s are back in a big way and grunge, the decades landmark trend, is cool again. When embracing this trend, do so with the attitude of Kurt Cobain (or Courtney Love) and plump for pieces that have an aged aesthetic, be it through fabric finish or colour palette.
Although the staple items remain the same; checked shirts and ripped stone wash denim, grunge has been given a new twist for the now. T-shirts are given mesh cut-outs to make them feel fresh, checked shirts have evolved into dresses (we love the Burberry Brit example), and this seasons ankle boot gets a makeover by stud details or vintage finishes. Maxi-skirts should be worn scraping the floor, billowing and with boots, while jewellery should be stacked - all the better to make a statement.
