Crumpled, creased, sun bleached, stonewashed and acid wash finishes were all techniques designers used to create this coming summer's Loveworn trend - brand new clothes with the appearance of treasured pieces that had been weathered and worn with love.
Burberry led the way with their signature trenches which, for 2009, were faded and dip-dyed and looked like they had been left out in the rain. While at Prada, part-fastened, part-undone crumpled silk, hobble skirt suits had a seriously sexy edge - these clothes looked as if the wearer might just have been undone in a lovers trist.
Alongside the season's essential faded and bleached jeans and butter soft, worn-in leathers, it all made for one of the most romantic and wistful trends this season.
