Just because the weather is dismal, doesn’t mean you can’t sweeten your look with a dash of winter pastels. From ice cream pinks and peppermint green, to baby blue and sorbet lemon, pastels make a subtle, yet sublimely soft impact on lightweight shirting and jersey tees. The pastel trend doesn’t translate so well onto footwear unless the shoes are super girlie (see Rupert Sanderson) or directional (see T&F Slack), but candy coloured pastels work wonderfully on simple, minimal bags and denim. Play with pastels by teaming with mono-chrome accessories or a navy pea coat to toughen up your look.
