In case you missed it, yesterday at the Burberry Spring Summer 2016 show, Cara was joined by her gorgeous girlfriend Annie aka singer St Vincent – and apparently the pair couldn’t take their eyes, nor hands, off one another.

Yes, the two – who appear to be in a lovely, and very good-looking relationship (I mean look at them!) - put on an affectionate display at Fashion Week.

But what’s the big deal in a bit of PDA? Personally I totally loved it. Why? Because love is great. Love is fun. And love is a hell of lot more interesting than any item of clothing. Even if they are super glossy Burberry ones modeled by the utterly charming Lineisy Montero.

And snogging, well, that’s one of the few things that tops even love. Anyone who doesn’t enjoy a cheeky snog, perhaps after a 'cheeky Nandos', well, you have zero sense of fun.

Having attended a few fashion week shows in my time (just a few) they don’t strike me as the friendliest of places in the world – there’s the whole seating plan hierarchy, and outfit judgment, not to mention the high pressure to capture the ultimate runway snap.

But here – in the middle of it all - were two people showing their pure happiness through some tongue-based loving. What could possibly be the harm in that? For me, it restored my faith in humanity.

I’m actually not alone, a recent study said that only 28% of 2000 people surveyed were uncomfortable with seeing other couples get off with each other in such close proximity. All those others, they're just like me, think it’s excellent.

Carry on Cara!

Snogging is for bedrooms, for behind bike sheds, for empty hotel lifts at midnight, doorways post-date and deserted beaches. It is not for the middle of tube platforms during rush hour, nor is it for the front row or fashion parties, no matter how fabulously louche and bacchanalian they are pertaining to be.

Yes, Cara I’m talking to you and your, albeit gorgeous, girlfriend Annie (AKA the singer St Vincent). In my view, the only person who ever needs to see your tongue in such detail is your dentist. And call me a prude, but being forced to watch these two pawing each other on the Burberry FROW and going full on French at certain LFW events made me feel quite uncomfortable.

It’s provocative – it’s like saying ‘gotta problem?’ and daring you to ask them to stop. This is nothing about the gender of those in flagrante, I’m all for being gay and proud, it’s just, well, do it with some class! I’d never dream of giving my girlfriend a lingering kiss on the lips at a work do, which is essentially what all these glamorous fashion bashes are.

We might hold hands or be affectionate, but any greater PDA I just consider bad manners. I think it’s immature and a sign of not being secure in your relationship. It’s about possession – Helen Mirren has a problem with men putting their arms around their partners in a proprietal way, but tongue licking (yes, this is what Cara and Annie were up to this week) is surely miles worse, not to mention rather unhygienic. Maybe if I was dating one of the world’s most famous women I’d want people to know I was the one getting into bed with her that night, but you can do that in the way you speak to and about your partner, the respect you show them and with a good old-fashioned hand squeeze.

Keep it classy ladies, otherwise… get a room!
