If there was one over-riding theme to the autumn/winter catwalks last February it was the fusion of tough versus pretty: biker girl meets soft romantic; studded leather worn with the softest silk; jet black contrasted with pale pink.
It's a look that will be filling our wardrobes come October, but also a great way to get more mileage out of summer's floaty florals.
But how to do it on the highstreet?
Easy.
If you need to supplement your 'pretty tough' staples, H&M's Autumn collection is a great place to start.
Mix everyday basics – ripped denims, leather trousers and biker boots – with softer, printed pieces.
Or, look for boyish silhouettes, such as a classic bomber jacket, reimagined in pale pastel shades.
Products from this shoot all H&M: Faux leather trousers, pink bomber, black dungarees, frayed jeans, slip on loafers.
Other products are from H&M's Studio collection, which will be in a selection of stores from September 8.
