With the exception of a string of very exciting Serena Williams appearances, Milan has been fairly light on celebrities. But it's been refreshingly full of supermodels — tall, glorious, rockstar Supers of the OG variety.
Whether they were there in spirit, as with the Linda Evangelista-inspired wigs at Moschino or slaying the runway in flesh and blood as Naomi Campbell, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes and Carmen Kass did at Versace, the runway has been a lot more fun to watch because of it.
There was a big moment for throwback models at Bottega Veneta too, with Lauren Hutton, Eva Herzigova and Karen Elson on the runway (standing ovation, tears, the whole thing).
That's mostly because a top model has an unnatural ability to electrify a room (there's a reason why they're called Supers, you know.) Case in point: the excitement in the air when Liya Kebede and Raquel Zimmerman made their runway exits at Prada. And more notably, Naomi's ability to reduce the notoriously poker faced fashion crowd to a group of starstruck adolescents at Versace. Superpowers indeed.
