As you expected, Kanye West's Yeezy season 5 runway show during New York Fashion Week featured floral boho dresses, a splash of vibrant hued cobalt and acid yellow clutch bags, held by jubilant models, skipping down the catwalk as they celebrated being part of a heroic spectacle of art, fashion, music and love.

We jest, of course it wasn't.

This is Kanye's fashion collection we're talking about. It was neutral-toned, eerie, dimly-lit and made you question whether you'd ever seen daylight again.

On the plus side, the musician-turned-designer did venture away from his favorite nude-coloured bodycon dress. He pushed the boat out by experimenting with camel, beige and caramel tones. Ever the game-changer is Kanye.

However, while we might not be sitting by our laptops, eagerly awaiting for the latest Yeezy collection to drop online, it sounds like we won't be the only ones, as we doubt Sia will be impressed with the fact Kanye ignore her appeal for him not to use fur in his fashion line.

On Wednesday, Kanye's longterm musical collaborator and 'Chandelier' singer asked the rapper/producer: 'Would you consider going fur free?

'This is the reality of fur for fashion - it's so sad,' she added, along with a graphic video of rabbits being slaughtered for their coats.

Sadly, West's recent collection appeared to feature both fur coats and accessories, including a floor-sweeping fur coat – showcased by hijab-wearing model Halima Aden – two shearling coats and a fur collar piece.

While Vogue magazine defends Kanye – who's show wasn't attended by Kendall and Kylie Jenner, contrary to previous years –, revealing the clothes were made of faux fur, the BBC is unable to verify the claim.

Unfortunately for Kanye, this isn't the first time the Australian animal rights' supporter for PETA – who has collaborated with him on songs including 'Wolves' and 'Reaper' – has spoken out against the wearing of animal fur.

Last summer, she tweeted the same video to his wife, Kim Kardashian, writing 'Hey @KimKardashian I think you're lovely. Would you consider going fur free? This is what animals go through for it.'

It appears Sia's plea might be falling on deaf ears.
