Of all the trends riding high this season this is surely the most practical. Patterned knits, blanket coats and hints of shearling may be fashion forward thanks to the likes or Isabel Marant and Rodarte but they’ll also keep out the cold. If you want to polish the look then add leather pants, chic printed dresses or seriously high heels that nod to the trend with a hint of embroidery or fringing. But if you can keep things on the casual side then embrace the chunky sweaters , lashings of animal totems and, surely one of the most coveted pieces of the season, Marant’s embroidered skinny jeans.
