Well, the latest Spring/Summer 2017 denim drop has just ratcheted things up yet another level. From gemstones to glitter, frills to fluted sleeves, it's pretty clear we've not seen the full elasticity of the denim trends yet. Pun intended.

Flares just got XXL
It was only a matter of time. After all, we all love a good flared sleeve or frilled bottom. However, you need to prepare yourself for the enormity of this Spring's calf volume. You could probably jump out a hot air balloon parachute down down safely.
In another twist of fashion fate, you can also now get hold of denim jackets with similarly fluted sleeves.
Denim is getting a flirtatious touch
Bow down to bows, an unexpected denim adornment. They are on everything - from jackets, and dresses through to jeans.
The juxtaposition of the cool-girl bleached denim, mixed with this little flirtatious, feminine detail gives you a girly grunge look like no other.
Embroidery is no longer the coolest detail
LOL remember last summer when we got embroidered denim everythaaaang? Well, if you loved having a lil' something extra on your jeans then you will thoroughly enjoy its upgrade: embellishments. From gemstones to diamanté and even chic pearls, get ready to have a party on your pants. Stunning? Yes. Practical? Not so much.

Sure, we've seen a few hand painted jackets and jeans over the years, but we've never seen full-on masterpieces. We know that we're grown-ass women but these Topshop mermaid jeans need to be part of our world. Just look at them, surely this can only be the beginning?

Turns out we didn't fully say, "see ya later boy" to ska8r jeans. Although many of us feel this trend has come back a little too soon, there is no denying that they have a unmissable presence this season. Complete with uber wide legs, ripped knees and, most importantly, the iconic skater chain.
