The super sleeves trend has been around for a few seasons now, but not many brands have taken it to the proportional extremes of Y-Project and its statement denim jacket.

Previously the domain of wizards and Mr Tickle, extremely long sleeves have been popularised by labels such as Vetements, Jacquemus, Stella McCartney and The Row. However, Y-Project's denim jacket, complete with sleeves that reach just below the knee, has really pushed the parameters of practicality.

The £450 piece, available to buy on Net-a-Porter, has been noticed by several social-media users who have made a few observations.

The idea is to wear them rolled up with a white shirt cuff showing, but it still comes with its inconveniences - you will never be able to open a door, type an email, nor use your phone. You'll also never be able to eat without covering your sleeves in food.

Its advantages? You won't have to bother with gloves this winter, and they will also serve as a makeshift cloth ensuring your surrounding areas are always cleanly.
