It's a challenging time for many, with existing social and economic issues created by the Covid-19 crisis lasting well into 2023, and people all over the world experiencing an unprecedented change in circumstances. And we have the cost of living crisis and environmental challenges to consider too, such as the number of clothes ending up in landfill in some of the world's poorest countries.

There are many fantastic initiatives that have been launched as a result, from new apps that connect people with volunteer services, to digital fundraising drives made possible with things like the Donate function on Instagram Live.

The fashion industry is playing its part too, donating profits from the sales of products to charity and rallying the industry's stars, from designers to its best photographers, to raise money with limited edition t-shirts and prints.

Here's a roundup of those contributing to good causes.

Louis Vuitton for UNICEF

louis vuitton

Louis Vuitton continues to support children in need through their partnership with UNICEF.

This year, the luxury house's celebrity ambassador Chloe Grace Moretz fronts their campaign, launching the Silver Lockit Beads bracelet.

As with the previous designs, the new bracelet features the iconic miniature padlock, now set between six silver beads with three cord colour options: red, black and blue, and a fourth black cord version in titanium. For every bracelet sold, $150 (£120) is donated to UNICEF.

Since 2016, Louis Vuitton has raised over $20 million USD (£16m) for the charity.
