Sarah Jessica Parker is creating a range of little black dresses, which will launch in October.

The actress-turned-designer, who made the announcement via Instagram, is expanding her footwear label to include ready-to-wear, available at Bloomingdales. Little details are known at the moment, except that the dresses will be made in the USA and that the first silhouette is "a surprise".

That said, Parker is wearing one of the styles in her Instagram video–a full-skirted, midi-length dress with a cut-away back.

Parker has designed ready-to-wear before, notably while at the helm of Halston Heritage, where she restored the brand back to profits between January 2010 and July 2011.
