Born in Mogadishu, Somalia on 25 July 1955, her full name is Iman Mohamed Abdulmajid. Discovered by photographer Peter Beard while at university in the 1970s, Iman’s overnight success made her into a muse for every designer from Versace to Halston and Yves Saint-Laurent. After two decades of modelling, she started her own cosmetics company, Iman Cosmetics, which is now a twenty-five million dollar a year business. Like Midas, it seems everything Iman touches turns to shiny Leo gold. She married Capricorn rock star David Bowie 1992 and they’ve been together ever since, proving that Leo loyalty is truth, not fiction.
