It seems like Suki Waterhouse can do no wrong at the moment. Seriously. As well as being our January ELLE cover star, and fronting recent campaigns for the likes of UGG, Superga and Dominic Jones, she's only gone and scooped our ELLE Model of the Year award. We grabbed five minutes with her at the ELLE Style Awards to discuss pre-Burberry jitters at LFW, and also the one-year anniversary of a certain introduction...
How has your night been?
Tonight has been wonderful, there’s a really warm buzzy atmosphere.
Better than last year?
I was here last year, and for lots of reasons, last year was, um, very special. You know…
What do you mean? (We are all too aware of what she means - Suki met a certain Bradley Cooper at last year's shindig)

What are you wearing?
This year I’m wearing everything Burberry. I didn’t know until tonight what Burberry I was going to wear, but I knew all along that it would have to be Burberry.
Do you always prefer to decide last minute?
I have to leave it until pretty much the last minute because I’m paranoid about not feeling comfortable, which always leads to awkward red carpet poses. I mean, sometimes I just get it very wrong, not because of the clothes but because of how I feel. You know how like one day you wear an outfit and you’re like ‘Yes!’ then the next week you wear the exact same thing and you’re like ‘Meh’.
Do you feel a lot of pressure when deciding what to wear?
Since last year, everyone’s been watching which is quite pressured. But I think it’s like Katy Perry was saying tonight, at the end of the day if you’re happy with your style and how you feel, then what does it matter? Learning how to just enjoy fashion and designers – that’s been great.
What's been your highlight of the season?
Walking for Burberry. The most exhilarating and scary thing I’ve done in a long time. I didn’t know I’d be walking until a day before so I didn’t have time to panic that much. It now feels surreal that I did it, I almost have no memory of the actual experience. Literally a dream come true.
