Ten years after they first got together, tennis pro Andy Murray and his artist girlfriend Kim Sears married this weekend at Dunblane Cathedral.

And, taking her cue from super-fan The Duchess of Cambridge, Sears looked to London-based designer Jenny Packham to create a suitably dramatic gown for the grand occasion.

The result?

A bespoke ivory gown of silk chiffon and hand beaded Swarovski crystals, with a full skirt and open back, worn with a three metre bespoke silk tulle veil and Swarovski crystal floral headdress.

Sears didn't hog the designer action, either, providing her four bridesmaids with full length gowns in deep rose crepe with a Swarovski crystal motif on the neckline. Two wore bespoke ostrich feather wraps and the other two, crepe wraps in the same hue.

Murray, meanwhile, was also traditional in a blue-and-green kilt.

Well-wishers lined the street to cheer the couple and shower them with confetti as they made their way out of the formal ceremony for a reception at Cromlix House - a luxury hotel helpfully owned by the 27-year-old British tennis number one.
