Beyoncé has already won the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, as far as we're concerned.
Sure, the awards won't even be announced until August 28. But looking at the number of nominations she received, Yoncé might as well have swept the whole darn thing. Not only was she nominated for Video of the Year and Best Pop Video ("Formation"), she also got the nod for Best Female Music Video ("Hold Up"), and Best Collaboration (with Kendrick Lamar, "Freedom"). She'll also battle herself in the Best Choreography category ("Formation" vs. "Sorry").
Not sorry, is more like it.
Bey also scored a nomination in a new category this year, Breakthrough Long Form Video (for Lemonade), which sounds like it was created just so she could win it, tbh.
