Kicking off this year's ELLE Style Awards 2017 red carpet with the best pair of red leather dungarees we've ever seen, Christine and the Queens aka Heloïse Letissier, as always, brought way more than just a 'who are you wearing' vibe to the proceedings.

Known for her awesome approach to breaking down gender and sexuality barriers, the super cool Letissier revealed that she actually attended the recent women's march in Paris in support of the international human rights movement.

Telling ELLE, 'Artists have a responsibility to get out there and speak out', she went on to discuss her role in communicating important messages through her music, 'Some people are scared to speak out but I feel as an artist I have to have a voice.'
