On Wednesday, Prince Harry guest edited the BBC's current affairs radio programme, Today.
The royal used the opportunity to raise awareness of causes he is passionate about, such as the Invictus Games and the armed forces, mental health and preventing youth crime. He also announced his new charity role as president of the conservation NGO, African Parks.
But the segment many were anticipating was his interview with former US president, Barack Obama. The two famously struck up a friendship while Obama was in office and have been seen enjoying each other's company since. In September, Obama was spotted watching some sports at the Invictus Games with the royal in Toronto and a month later Prince Harry flew out to Chicago for the launch of the Obama foundation.
So with these friends back in a room together, and Obama put under the spotlight, what did we learn?
This was the first interview Obama had agreed to do since leaving office
A testament to their friendship perhaps?
Michelle Obama is not 'naturally inclined to politics'
Barack praised his wife's capabilities as a First Lady but said she did the job largely in support of "his decision to run [for office]". He said he was proud that after all the pressures of an eight-year presidency, the couple continued to have a "strong" marriage.
Obama felt "serene" during Donald Trump's inauguration:
The former president said he felt a level of "serenity" he wasn't quite expecting. He described mainly feeling thankful for Michelle's support over the years mixed with some concerns of how the country moves forward. "There was a sense that we had run a good race," he said. "I always viewed [the presidency] as taking the baton from a whole range of people who had come before me."

To which Prince Harry replied: "Good answer".
Prince Harry asked the former US president if he preferred Rachel or Monica, as part of his 'quickfire round'.
Obama's response was Rachel.
It's safe to assume Obama does not watch Keeping up with the Kardashians.
When asked by Prince Harry if he prefers Kim or Khloe, Obama responded: "This one I have to defer on."
We're not sure yet whether Obama is invited to the royal wedding.
When questioned by the BBC's Sarah Montague, Prince Harry expertly swerved a question on whether the Obamas would be invited to his May nuptials to Meghan Markle. The prince said they haven't put the guest list together yet so "wouldn't want to spoil the surprise".
After Obama, Prince Harry moved on to interview another high-profile guest: his father, HRH The Prince of Wales.
The father and son discussed climate change, a cause Prince Charles has passionately campaigned for and said he has probably bored his Prince Harry "to tears" with by talking about so much over the years.
At the end of the programme, Prince Harry was asked about his Christmas - which was his first one with his fiance Markle. The prince said they had a "fantastic" time together, especially spending time with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and "running about with the kids".
