It's been over a year(!) since Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election, and the American people still can't help but admire the former secretary of state. According to a recent Gallup poll, Clinton is the most admired woman by Americans, edging out Michelle Obama by two percent.

This means Clinton has now been named most admired woman 16 times and has been named most admired more than any person in Gallup history. So casual.

"What? Like it\'s hard?" —Hillary Clinton, probably

The Gallup poll shows that Clinton beat out a number of prominent women for the spot including (in order of their poll rank) Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Elizabeth Warren, Angela Merkel, Queen Elizabeth II, Condoleezza Rice, Melania Trump, Nikki Haley, Kate Middleton, and Beyoncé Knowles. (To be honest, I don't understand how Queen Bey ranks so low on this list, but I also know nothing about statistics, so...)

In the men's category, Barack Obama was named the most admired man for the 10th time with President Donald Trump coming in second. Other men on the list include Pope Francis, John McCain, Elon Musk, Bernie Sanders, Bill Gates, Mike Pence, and The Dalai Lama.

And since the Gallup report claims Clinton might not keep her top spot for much longer, it'll be interesting to see who makes the list in 2018. Will it be Meghan Markle? Kylie Jenner's newborn child? To be determined!
